St Patricks Day Parade

The 44rd Annual Olde Towne Slidell Association St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2017.

Line up will begin at 10:30 A.M. and rolls promptly at 1:00 P.M. with a toast at City Hall.

The Route

The parade will travel from City Hall at Second and Bouscaren Streets to Fremaux where it will turn left, and then left again on Front Street, veering onto Carey Street.

The group will turn right at the intersection of Carey and Pontchartrain, then right again on Front and Robert Streets, crossing Carey before taking its final left, onto First Street and back to City Hall.

This years estimate of what will be thrown:

  • Approximately 5000 heads of cabbage
  • 10000 onions
  • 25000 potatoes
  • 15000 carrots
  • Over 200000 pairs of beads
  • stuffed animals

Registration Is Open

All walking groups, bikes, horses, cars, trucks, dance groups, school bands and floats are invited to participate.

Fee Schedule:

  • $10 small marching group (1-5 people)
  • $15 medium marching group (6-15 people)
  • $30 large marching group (more than 15 people)
  • $45 large dance team with sound truck (15 or more people)
  • $10 small bicycle group (1-5 people)
  • $15 medium bicycle group (6-15 people)
  • $30 large bicycle group (more than 15 people)
  • $185 mini float (small trailer with 5 or less riders)
  • $385 regular float (pulled by a pick-up, van or farm type tractor)
  • $725 large Mardi Gras style floats and 18 wheeler truck floats. Please contact us for height restrictions.
