King Cake On A Stick Returns to Slidell

Mardi Gras 2015, Slidell was introduced to a new idea that would spark a revolution on the parade route – King Cake on a Stick.

As the first parade of 2016 rolled, the sounds of street revelers were in tune – where is King Cake on a Stick?

Fear no more my fellow Slidellians!!!

King Cake on a Stick returns to Slidell THIS WEEKEND, Krewe of Slidellians, Sunday January 17th @ 1PM.

King Cake on a Stick

Sierra Dee, A.K.A. Sugar Love, first had the idea while attending a local festival. One of the menu items was chicken on a stick.

At the time, Sierra had already begun her baking business out of her home. It also happened to be king cake season and she thought “wouldn’t it be cool to have both!”

And thus, King Cake on a Stick was born.

The more she thought of the idea, she realized how big it could actually be.

Her dream was to open her own bakery one day, so she decided to wait until she had a bigger space and more help to launch this new Mardi Grad tradition.

Now in its second year, Sierra will be expanding King Cake on a Stick to surrounding Slidell cities.
